STEA A/S Invests and Builds a New Production Facility in Fredericia

2021-11-11T15:59:14+01:0011. November 2021 |

In March 2022, the first sod is cut for a state-of-the-art production facility in Fredericia. STEA’s expansion in Fredericia is taking place in a sustainable and climate-friendly light. A total of 9,300 m2 of production is being built on the 48,000 m2 plot, which the company has bought in Dronningens Kvarter, Fredericia.

Due to vast growth in the company and the desire for a greener profile in the future, STEA has chosen to establish a larger production facility in Fredericia. The new production facility, which is expected to be ready in the first quarter of 2023, allows STEA to produce far more pallets locally. This implies a significant reduction in the import of finished pallets, which again is reflected in the company’s CO2 emissions.

STEA A/S can reduce its CO2 emissions with more 280,000 kg. CO2 in connection with the transport of finished pallets. More specifically it is done by importing the sub-components and assembling the pallets at the new location in Fredericia instead of transporting finished pallets. That way fewer truck loads have to be driven in from abroad, as the transport of finished pallets involves the transport of large amounts of air.

– We have chosen to put our new production in Fredericia for various reasons. Of course, due to the central location both in terms of our customers and suppliers of raw materials for production, but also due to our already long-standing collaboration with both Business Fredericia and Fredericia Municipality, says CEO Daniel Dal and continues:

– In this connection, I would like to take the opportunity to thank the people from Business Fredericia, who have been a great help in connection with the purchase process and to the administration for Land and Buildings in Fredericia Municipality for constructive negotiations and assistance in recent months. We are looking forward to the first sod cutting, which will happen in the first quarter of 2022, and even more to moving in to the new premises at the beginning of 2023.

KT Erhvervsbyg A/S will build the new production plant

– KT Erhvervsbyg A/S is incredibly happy being involved in the construction project for STEA A/S. In collaboration with the client and his consultant, we have through a constructive tender phase since the turn of the year, processed the client’s wishes, so that administration, production and warehouse wishes are implemented in the project. At a time with material prices and delivery times being associated with a great deal of uncertainty, due to the corona pandemic and an unusually high level of activity in the world market, we have succeeded in reconciling price, time and deliveries so that the builder’s financial framework and expectations of moving in early 2023 can be met. We look forward to the task, says René Vestermark Krag from KT Erhvervsbyg A/S.

Fredericia welcomes the expansion

The mayor of Fredericia Municipality, Steen Wrist, is very pleased that STEA A/S is strengthening its commitment to the city. – I am really happy that a company like STEA A/S strengthens its commitment in Fredericia Municipality. During this time, it is very important to produce the goods where there is a need, rather than transporting

finished components around the world. Fredericia is blessed with a good location in general, but especially also by the fact that production and transport Denmark is located here. STEAs choice of Fredericia shows this very clearly, says Mayor Steen Wrist.

In Fredericia, Business Director Kristian Bendix Drejer welcomes the company.

– First and foremost, it is a pleasure to see that STEA A/S is now expanding its involvement in Fredericia. It has been a pleasure to work with them alongside Fredericia Municipality and we have found a perfect location for the company’s state-of-the-art production facilities. At the same time, the company delivers some interesting green solutions that match our focus on energy, climate, sustainability, but also transport and logistics, says Kristian Bendix Drejer.

FORSKERE: PALLER AF TRÆ ER MERE MILJØVENLIGE

2020-06-25T10:55:44+02:0025. June 2020 |

FORSKEL I CO2 AFTRYK

Ice airbag – sikkerhed for vores medtrafikanter

Ice airbags i lastbiltrailere gør vejene sikrere

Our first graduate

2019-02-06T08:57:23+01:0030. October 2016 |

After two years of apprenticeship, Daniel Campanella finished his exam in Sales on September 14th – the first in STEA’s history. He completed his final exam with the highest grade possible, a well-deserved 12. This grade matches his apprenticeship at STEA, which he completed with great praise.

Because of the above mentioned results and overall work commitment, we obviously could not get rid of Daniel which is why he can now add the tittle ‘Sales Coordinator’ to his resume. You will therefore continue to meet Daniel on the telephone and mail, where he will be able to handle and coordinate your orders with his knowledgeable care.
