Retired Euro-pallets are Euro-pallets that no longer live up to EPAL’s requirements for an approved Euro-pallet. They may be cracked, have visible seams, be severely weathered, or be chipped. The approval stamps may also have become illegible. These pallets can still be used to carry goods, but they can’t be used in exchange systems any longer. These retired pallets can therefore be a good alternative to (e.g.) a strong expendable pallet.
